Trauma, Energy, and Healing: Reclaiming Your Power After Pain
Hello, beautiful souls and welcome to another transformational episode of Living the Live Ty Way. I'm your host, Dr. Sab Clark. You're Dr. Sunshine and doctor of acupuncture, PhD scholar and loving reminder that your past pain, that's not define your future power. Today we are going to talk about something that touches almost every single human heart, whether we are realizing it or not. Welcome to trauma, energy, and healing. Reclaiming your power after pain.'cause pain happens, loss happens, hurt happens. But guess what? So does healing. So does rising. So does reclaiming your light. Stronger and wiser than ever. This is your journey back to your power, not by raising your story, but by transforming it. Let's walk this beautiful, brave path together today. So what is, what is trauma really? First, let's get gently clarify something really important. Trauma isn't about what happened to you. It's about what happened inside you as a result. Lemme repeat that. Trauma isn't about what happened to you. Trauma is about what happened inside of you. As a result, two people can go through the same event. One feels resilient, the other carries deep wounds. So why? Because drama is personal. It's how your nervous system, your heart, your body interpret and responds to overwhelming experiences. Drama can be a big T like abuse, loss, major accidents. Or it can be a little T repeated. Emotional neglect. Chronic stress, constant invalidation, both can leave energetic imprints in your body, your mind, your heart. Both are valid. Both are worthy of feeling. Trauma isn't a weakness. Trauma isn't failure, and trauma is a natural survival response, and it's something. You can heal, you can rise from. So how does trauma affect your energy body? Let's look a little deeper. What happens? Disruption of your energy flows happens. Drama can cause blockages, stagnation, or chaotic patterns in your meridians, your energy pathways or chakras. Your energy centers, you might feel drained, stuck, numb, hypervigilant, or ungrounded. Your nervous system freezes. If drama is too overwhelming, the body shifts into freeze mode, but it's a survival shutdown. This creates energetic frozen zones. Areas where life force gets stuck and can't circulate freely, and we have emotional energy backlog, unprocessed grief, anger, fear, lodge into the tissues and organs, often showing up later as physical tension, illness or chronic pain. The fragmentation of identity can happen. Drama often creates an internal split. The part of me that's surviving and the part of me that holds the pain energetically, it feels like being disconnected from your own wholeness. So how would that look like? There are like signs that old energy is still affecting you. If difficulty, stress are an issue with others or yourself, chronic fatigue, that rest just doesn't seem to fix. Feeling like you are stuck in old patterns or you're reacting intensely to triggers without understanding actually why. Feeling numb, dissociated, or out of body. Often a deep sense of shame, guilt, or unworthiness. Physical symptoms with no clear medical explanation. If you recognize yourself here, breathe. Just breathe. You're not broken. You are carrying old survival patterns and you can release them. And here's how the healing path to reclaim your power, you can heal trauma energetically, emotionally, and physically, gently, lovingly, at your own pace. And here's how we do that. We create safety first. Healing cannot happen without safety. Again, healing cannot happen without safety. Safety in your body, safety in your nervous system, safety in your inner dialogue. Practices to build inner safety are slow. Breathing into your belly weighted blankets or soft touch like self holding. Hug yourself. Hold your own hand. Calming sensory experiences like warm tea, soothing music, gentle rocking affirmations of safety. I am safe now. I am here. Now. I am allowed to heal. And reconnect with your body. Drama often disconnects you from your body for survival, healing invites you back gently and lovingly. Practices to reconnect are gentle movements like yoga, tai chi, Qigong, slow dancing. Grounding, like walking barefoot, hugging trees, feeling textures and body scans, noticing sensations without judgment. Your body, it's not your enemy, it's your home that we make this one more time really loud and clear. Your body is not. Your enemy, your body is your home. Then we have to release these old energy patterns, and that means allowing these old, trapped energies to move. We often hold onto them without even knowing. So techniques for energetic release are. Acupuncture, acupressure, somatic therapy and trauma informed yoga, energy medicine practices like Reiki, EF Tapp, sound healing, crying. Yes. Let it out. Shaking, laughing and screaming. Yes, go. And you have the possibility. Go into the woods and scream out loud on the fields. Or if you don't have that. Possibility. Scream into your pillow, let it out. Emotions are energy in motion. It's meant to move through you, not to get stuck and then revive your story. Yeah. You heard that right? Revise your story. You are not the pain you endured. You are the soul. Who's the wife that be proud of yourself and get up and heal. Breathe. You get to re-author you life story now. Now this moment, journaling problems can help like I honor the strength it took to survive. Or I am becoming a person who feels, or the wisdom I carry from my healing journey is you are the hero, not the victim. Yes, you are the hero. I'm not a victim. And then trust is slow. Magic healing doesn't happen overnight. It happens quietly. Layer by layer, breath by breath, and choice by choice. Some days you will feel breakthroughs. Some days you will need naps and gentleness, and some days you will be surprised yourself with stop again. Some days you feel surprised about yourself, how far you have come. It's all part of the beautiful spiritual reclaiming of your wholeness. Be patient with your own becoming, and don't be impatient when you have a setback. Breathe and start over again.. Now, here's the truth that always gives me the goosebumps. There's beauty beyond the trauma. You're not defined by your wounds. You are shaped by your healing. Every scar holds wisdom, every tear watered your soul, every crack. Let the light in. When you heal, you don't just return to who you were before. No. You become someone deeper, wiser, and more radiant. Your light shines brighter, not in spite of what you have been through, but because you had the courage. To walk through it. Before we close today, I want to share something personal with you, something that's been woven into my life, my healing, and even my work today. A few years ago, at 42 years old, I made a decision I never thought I would make. I got my first tattoo, and it wasn't just any tattoo. It was a Phoenix tattooed on the inside of my arm, close to my heart, where I could see it every single day. And why? Because at that time in my life, I was living through the final stages of an abusive relationship, a season of my life where I felt broken, exhausted, terrified. But somewhere deep down, still burning with the smallest stubborn flame of hope. The Phoenix wasn't just in on my skin. It was a promise to myself. I promise to rise again. Promise to move forward, to heal, not just for me, but for my children. Who deserved a mother who was whole, who was alive, who was fully here. That Phoenix became more than a tattoo. It became the symbol of everything I stand for. It became the logo for my acupuncture clinic, rise Above Acupuncture and Wellness, because that's what healing is about. Keep rising, keep shining, and keep moving even when it's messy, even when it's hard. Especially when you don't feel ready, but you take the next step anyway. And today, every time I see that Phoenix on my arm, I'm reminded I did not just survive. I rose and you beautiful soul. You can do. No matter how heavy your past fields, no matter how long you have carried it, you have a phoenix. Inside too, waiting to rise. So my beautiful Phoenix Olds today, I invite you to remember you're not your past. You're not your pain, you're not your scars. You are the fire that keeps rising. You are the light that refuses to redeem. You have the love that grows even stronger after the storm. Your healing journey is not about raising what hurts you, it's about transforming it into strength. So luminous, it lights the way for everyone you meet. Every breath you take, every step you move forward. Every time you choose love over fear, you rise again. And just like the phoenix on my arm, remind me every day, keep rising, keep shining, keep moving. You were born for this. You were born to soar. And your story, even the messy, painful chapters. It is sacred. It's beautiful beyond measure. And if today's episode touched your heart, please share it with someone who might need their own reminder to rise and remember, you are never alone. You will always find loving support, healing resources, and soul nourishment waiting for you. At Live Tea Academy. Until we meet again. Keep breathing, keep smiling, and keep rising. Always remember, you are stronger than the fire'cause you are the fire. I'm your Dr. Sunshine reminding you don't forget to shine and rise bright today. I.
